_{Twilight beckoned. The absinthe globe of one moon swirled idly over the horizon, mirroring its languid eye on the water.
His ears twitched. The lick of the waves against the flat shore was broken only by his unsteady footsteps and the weighty breathing of his lusus, a formidable but reassuring white presence beside him, always beside him. Puffs of seaspray whispered free of the lusus’ flat nostrils as he guided the unsure troll to the water’s edge.
He was not a true seadweller by birth, but he had always been fascinated by the water, the way it captured and held all those tiny winks of light, the way it always moved. Like breathing. He would listen the tide from the still safety of his cocoon, and pretend he was being held in its embrace.
The edge of the water was like pressed metal, a film upon the clay soil. He watched it for a while, round eyes trailing the stars reflected in it. He tapped a paw hesitantly onto it; it made a tiny slapping sound and he giggled. Sparkles made odd noises. He liked that. There was an impatient huff behind him, and a warm presence pushed him a little. He gave his best wide smile up at the sea-goat’s long muzzle, before turning to face the ocean once more.
He lifted his foot, carefully judging the waves, before dipping it into the next incoming ripple.
‘Cold!’ he whispered. His lusus snorted again, more reassuringly. Another wavelet splashed against his paw and he closed his eyes as it slithered over his skin. It felt very strange, but… nice. It was nice.
He took another step, hands leaning on his lusus’ cheek.
The water was up to his knees and he let his tail float on top of the water. He let go of his lusus and let the water hold him. The waves were gentle, pulsing, pushing and pulling at his body in slow alteration and he smiled in wonder at how it was so …alive.
His lusus stood tall and proud beside him, every inch the ocean hunter, streamlined and lime-pearlescent in the moonlight, and he felt regal, a highblood, conqueror of land and sea. He stretched tall on his paws, his fat little tail swishing the water behind him. He was big and strong, and with his lusus at his side, they would be the best. The best sea-goats ever.}

oh…my…god, This Gamzee is just…. i don’t have words. I’ve never seen something like this, it’s… it’s so beatiful, so different from what we’re used (I shouldn’t write this much without a translator, but i’m lazy as hell :|)
